Frush Flops and Braces

Yesterday Ashley and I went grocery shopping at Super Wal-Mart. She had been telling me she wanted flip flops. So we got to the store and did a bunch of shopping and eventually made it to the flip flops, and I said , "Here they are. Which ones do you like?" She stood there looking confused, and then she explained she wanted the colored cereal. I said, "Fruit Loops?" And she said, yes! She says it kind of like frush flops. We both got a good laugh out of the mixup!

Today I took Joshua to the orthodontist. He seems pretty excited about getting his teeth fixed. They showed him the brushing sink and how he can keep the travel toothpaste when he is done. Then the receptionist walked around the corner, and he picked up the tube of toothpaste and hugged it to his chest with a big smile on his face. He was so happy to be able to keep it-cute! They always let you pick a pencil when you leave, and he carefully examines a lot of pencils before he makes up his mind each visit.

cute stories! thanks for sharing them - i've been hoping for an update from you for awhile. of course your newly-expanded family takes priority over blogging, but after following your adoption journey i really want to see the fruits of the labor, to not only know more about your new son & daughter, but ALSO so i know how to be praying more specifically. please keep the updates & stories coming - i'm still reading!!! :-D
