Today Joshua is 12! He has been looking forward to this birthday since he came home last January. He had to watch everyone else celebrate their birthday, and he would always ask, "When is my birthday?" It took him six months to memorize what day his birthday was on. Now it is finally here! We celebrated with nine of his classmates, friends and cousins on Saturday.
Today he took cupcakes to school. Then we opened presents after school and went to Carl's Jr. and ate giant hamburgers for dinner, his restaurant of choice :) Lastly, we enjoyed the car cake Tatum made for Josh. Isn't it cool!
As I tucked Joshua in tonight he told me it was the first time he had his own cake for a birthday. A perfect day for a 12-year-old boy! Happy Birthday, Joshua! We love you very much!

Way to go Tatum. Nice job. I remember fighting with my sister pretty regularly until I went away to school. She sent me a care package of food and I think we've gotten along ever since. It's great for Josh to have a family to celebrate his special day with. At the kid's orphanage last week they were having a party for everyone with a birthday this month. I went and looked and asked what everyone got special. They each got a banana, that was it.
