Tomorrow is liftoff! After nearly a year of praying and planning for our new addition(s) , the time has come! We can't wait to see who God has for our family. Jim and I are so thankful for friends, family and even strangers who have helped us get to this point. You have truly been God's hands and feet praying, cleaning, feeding, taking care of Austin & Tatum, donating, lending, advising, driving and countless other things. Your excitment assures us our new kids will be accepted and loved. We are overwhelmed with gratefulness! Thank you all!
Prayer requests:
1. That we would continually trust God through all of the ups and downs we will face in Ukraine.
2. Safety in travel for us and Austin & Tatum.
3. That we would find favor with the officials in Ukraine.
4. That God would be preparing the hearts of our new kids for a family and the huge life changes they are about to experience.
5. Health for my dear friend, Vickie.
6. Protection of Jim's job.
We'll post when we get to Kiev. Dasvidanya!

Wow! До свидания (dasvidaniya)! We are so excited for you! Hope you have Internet access so you can update your blog and send and receive e-mail. How neat that your kids can go, too--a trip of a lifetime! The Lord bless you on your journey to your children.
How exciting! Have a safe trip. I'll be looking forward to your first post from Kiev!

Have a safe trip! We'll be praying for you.
Found your blog today, will add you to our prayers! God Bless!
Good luck with everything...wish I could be there to meet you on that end...perhaps on trip #2 in January! Praying all goes well and your process goes quick. Hope you get a hug from the Roges when you arrive!
Blessings!!
You are doing a wonderful thing and we are really excited for you. Have a safe trip and Happy Holidays!

We can't wait to meet you! We're 5 days ahead of you in Kiev - we will be heading to Odessa tomorrow (God willing) if we are able to pick up our SDA referral tomorrow afternoon (with Matt and Sheila). God bless your travels! Jay and Martha Swinney
Blessings on you as you travel to meet your new son(s)/daughter(s). We have a daughter from Ukraine and she is a delight! We also have a homegrown son and 3 children from China.
Much love,
Sarah
Kari and Jim,
You should be there by now! Hopefully the journey was comfortable and stress-free!
We will include your prayer requests in with our prayers and will keep an eye on your blog for updates!
If we can help in anyway - let us know! I'm sorry I didn't get to hug you goodbye properly - I realized it right after you left!
So hugs and be safe,
The Barretts
