Just got off the phone with Jim. They haven't even STARTED their passports. Apparently the computer crashed in Kherson the day they applied, and no one told them until today. They had to send the computer to Kiev to get it fixed. So now they are saying it will be another week. We are weighing our options. Do they take the train back to Kherson and ask them to start it at another passport region there, just wait, do Jim and I trade places because he really needs to get back to work?????? Please pray for a quick resolution.

Oh no! My heart is heavy for your family. Praying for a quick resolution on the passports. Let me know if we can help on this side.
Ugghhh! They did the same kinda thing to us. We couldn't call them to inquire until the day we were to pick up the passports. Then they told us the infamous saying, "You see, we have a little problem..."
So sorry for you guys, it's not right. I'll be praying for quick resolution. Thuis stinks!
Felix
On my knees for a God-given solution for your needs. What a mighty God we serve. He cares about this, and we care about it, too. We will do anything we can to help out on this end.
"We depend on the Lord alone to save us. Only he can help us, protecting us like a shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we are trusting in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone." From Psalm 33
Oh, my! This is craziness with how backward things are. I will pray.
We will continue to "pray you home." The end of your trip is starting to sound like Felix & Heidi's. Hang in there.
So Sorry to hear about this mess!!I can't beleive it is going to be another week. You all continue to be in our prayers. It seems it would cost a lot more in airfare if you and Jim were to switch places. Can he do the work from there?
Love,
Aimee
I am very sorry. Your family is in our prayers
Oh Kari I'm so sorry to hear this!! I'll be praying for you guys-- I'll be back in Kiev on Friday-- please let me know if I can do anything for you guys.
Love,
Karen
Kari and Jim,
It seemed so simple and clean and Jim and kids would be home. We are so bummed to read about the passports and that no one cared to call and let you know.
Can they issue them out of Kyiv with the glitch in region - can someone do the paperwork? I know ours were started in Chernihiv and then sent to Kyiv and then sent back. It seems as if everything could be done in Kyiv and picked up in Kyiv - I know, that would make sense and why would they do something that would make sense?
You both are in our prayers, Kari for worrying about this at home, and Jim for actually having to handle it over there!
I hope as the day has progressed that the office has found a resolution for you.
Be strong,
Twyla and John
