They're Coming Home!

Today Jim and Valentin went to the US Embassy to submit paperwork and start the background checks on the kids that the United States conducts. Valentin was convinced we couldn't do this without the passports, but we had heard of a couple families who did it, so he was game to try. They did let them submit the paperwork-yea! The passports are supposed to arrive by train Wednesday morning. They will pick them up and go straight to the medical office. After the kids' exams they will head to the US Embassy to pick up visas. Barring any unforeseen bumps in the road, they are flying home on Thursday. I know it will be hard for some people to make it to the airport with school and work, and we understand that. Any and all that would like to come and celebrate their homecoming are welcome!

Here is the flight information:
Thursday, January 29
Lufthansa Flight 446 Frankfurt to Denver
Arrival Time: 3:25 p.m.

It will probably take them 45 minutes to go through customs and get the official stamp on Ashley and Josh's passports making them United States citizens! So we anticipate them coming through the customs doors on the north end of the airport around 4:15 p.m.!

Terrific news! Sorry we won't be able to be there when they come home. Richard is out of town, and I'm leaving town the next day. The grandparents arrive on Thursday, so we have a lot going on. Know that we share your excitement and we will hook up when we get back in town.

Great News!
We will not be able to make the airport. I have to pick up Laura from school at 2:45 and Anya has a field trip to YMCA of the Rockies this day and is not expected to be back at school until about 3:30.
Then I have to be at church by 5:00 to help with choir parctice set up. We will have to plan to come visit you very soon so the kids can meet Anya.
We will be praying for your travels.
Love,
Aimee
